Our programs are designed to spark curiosity and growth

Placed within the science education programs at elementary schools, this program consists of:
Each school selects their desired topic, which is then taught across all grades, tweaking for each age group. Topics include oceans, backyard habitats, alternative energy, and climate change.
Learners of all ages love the hands-on nature of the “e” inc. programming, with new ideas and hands-on activities provided in every lesson. Whether they are managing lights in their classroom or picking up litter outside, students gain pride in their efforts to help the Earth.
Currently, we teach at 5 day schools in Chinatown, East Boston, Dorchester, and Charlestown.
This “e” inc. program is held once a week at after-school programs and community centers, providing science and action lessons. Learners love the fun of creating and doing new projects and activities, as well as working on problems together. Activities include:
Currently, we teach at 14 after-school programs and community centers in Cambridge, Dorchester, Mattapan, and Mission Hill.

In late June through the end of July, “e” inc.’s educators lead local youth both in, and alongside, the waterfront at Fort Point Channel (thanks to our longstanding sponsor, Boston Properties). This program immerses children in exploring Boston’s local ocean ecosystem, with hands-on lessons on crab anatomy, invasive species, and teamwork exercises like dragon-boat rides with the Ohana Dragon Boat team. It emphasizes teamwork, environmental stewardship, and practical marine science education.
Primarily serving elementary school students from neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Cambridge. About 100 students participate annually, gaining hands-on experience with marine biology and environmental science while building confidence and teamwork skill.
